NEUST-CIPE’s best practice recognized by the Development Academy of the Philippines

In 2019, the NEUST-Center for Indigenous Peoples Education (CIPE) participated in the Development Academy of the Philippines’ (DAP) Search for Best Practices in the Government. The Government Best Practice Recognition (GBPR) is the agency’s flagship program that promotes and showcases outstanding and innovative practices demonstrated by public sector organizations.

Today, April 1, 2021, the Center received the plaque of participation indicating that among the 145 entries received by the agency in 2019, NEUST-CIPE’s entry was shortlisted as finalist. A proof that the Center’s best practices are indeed recognized by the award-giving body and in the national level. A manifestation that the affirmative action of the University is truly implemented, and that it is one with the Indigenous Peoples in their aim towards self-determination.

More than the recognition, the Center headed by Dr. Arneil Gabriel and the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology under the leadership of President Feliciana Jacoba are grateful to the Indigenous Peoples/Indigenous Cultural Communities for their trust and for making the NEUST-CIPE a genuine partner in their pursuit for development, education, and cultural preservation.

The IPs/ICCs are the real inspiration behind the establishment of the NEUST-CIPE and will remain the source of motivation to continuously innovate and propose programs and activities which will meet the true needs of the communities.
